The Pilamé Reformer Pilates + Props Teacher Training isan immersive, practice-based education delivered over approximately two months,designed for those who want to teach Reformer Pilates with confidence,professionalism and purpose. Whether you are looking to start a new career, expandyour existing movement education or deepen your understanding of Pilates, thistraining provides the tools, knowledge and practical experience needed to guideclients safely and effectively. Throughout four weekends, you will learn how to teach,coach and programme Reformer classes through a combination of anatomy, movementanalysis, cueing, teaching practice and hands-on experience. Rather than simply memorising exercises, you will learnhow to understand movement, adapt exercises for different bodies and createmeaningful, well-structured classes.

Weekend 1: foundations and movement principles
The first weekend focuses on building a strong foundationin Pilates principles, anatomy and movement quality.
You will
- Learn the fundamental principles of Reformer Pilates
- Explore posture, alignment and breathing
- Develop an understanding of functional anatomy
- Learn safe use of the Reformer
- Study and practise the first series of exercises
- Explore selected exercises with and without props whereapplicable
- Begin developing verbal, visual and tactile cueingskills
- Practise exercises on fellow participants
- Give and receive constructive feedback
Weekend 2: movement analysis and teaching skills
This weekend focuses on understanding movement patternsand developing your ability to teach others effectively.
You will
- Continue building your exercise repertoire
- Analyse movement from an anatomical perspective
- Recognise common compensations and movement habits
- Learn how to adapt exercises for different clients
- Explore regressions and progressions
- Work with props to support or challenge movement
- Refine cueing techniques
- Teach short exercise sequences to fellow participants
- Receive personalised coaching and feedback
Weekend 3: programming, flow and class design
Great instructors do more than teach exercises. Theycreate meaningful experiences and well-structured classes.
You will
- Learn how to sequence exercises effectively
- Develop class flow and transitions
- Build complete class plans
- Continue expanding your exercise repertoire
- Explore exercises with and without props whereappropriate
- Learn how to teach different levels safely andconfidently
- Improve observation and coaching skills
- Teach largerclass sections and receive feedback
Weekend 4: integration, assessment and certification
The final weekend brings together everything you havelearned throughout the programme.
You will
- Refine your teaching and cueing skills
- Practise complete class delivery
- Continue developing confidence as an instructor
- Explore final exercise variations and applications
- Practise coaching and teaching fellow participants
- Prepare for assessment
- Complete both theoretical and practical examinations
- Receive individual feedback and developmentrecommendations
Certification requirements
To successfully complete the training and receivecertification, participants must complete the following requirements.
Reformer group classes
20 hours total
- Minimum 15 hours must be completed during the trainingprogramme
- Remaining 5 hours may be completed after the training
Self-practice
5 hours
Independent practice to develop personal movementunderstanding and confidence on the Reformer.
Participants must complete an additional 5 hours ofself-practice by creating their own class plan and delivering the session. Thismay be completed at Pilamé under supervision or recorded elsewhere andsubmitted to Pilamé for assessment and feedback.
Teaching practice
5 hours
Participants must teach a total of 5 hours to a group offriends, family members or acquaintances of their own choosing. These sessionsmay be be taught at Pilamé under supervision or recorded elsewhere andsubmitted to Pilamé for assessment and feedback.
The teaching practice is designed to develop confidencein cueing, observation, class management and class delivery.
